And Why You Deserve It
Most of us are taught to compromise, to manage our expectations, our desires, to “be realistic.” But what if that’s all wrong? What if you can have everything you want, not just some of it, but all of it? The truth is the life you dream of is not only possible… it’s meant for you. And you deserve it.
Desires exist for a reason. The things you crave, be they freedom, love, creativity, abundance, adventure, aren’t just random. They’re clues! Think of your desires as your internal GPS pointing you toward your dream life. You can choose to ignore the GPS commands and go your own way, the same old way, you can choose to get lost, while away the hours, days, weeks, months and years, or you can step outside the box and trust the process.
To want the things, the life, the experiences your heart desires has nothing to do with being greedy, unrealistic or ungrateful for what you have. It’s about waking up.
I have made it a practice, nay ritual, every morning as I wake the first words out of my mouth will always be “Good morning world!”
Believe it. Wake up.
You might want a more fulfilling career, one that pays more, gives you more freedom, more R&R. You might crave deeper relationships, a bigger house, a better car, more independence. Whatever it is you’re after, never think you’re asking too much, what you’re asking for is quite simply alignment.
Alignment is being fully connected to who you are, without distraction, without apology. Alignment is when your thoughts, actions, values, and energy are all moving harmoniously in the same direction. Toward who you really are and what you really want. It’s that feeling of “Oh yes. This is me.”
The universe, life, or whatever you prefer to call it, responds to clarity and courage. When you ask for what you want with the firm belief you can have it, you start attracting opportunities that meet those desires.
Rule number one (in having everything you want. There are no other rules, so this is easy to remember)
Self-Belief.
You must believe in yourself. There is simply no other way. Self-belief is one of the most powerful forces on Earth, and by practising it and nurturing it you can have everything you want. Period.
But is it enough?
Self-belief changes your energy, and people feel it. When you believe in yourself, your energy shifts. You're no longer seeking validation or approval. You’re simply doing you. Opportunities flow toward people who project that kind of confidence. It has nothing to do with luck, privilege, education, ethnicity or gender, it’s simply that these people radiate confidence.
So many people go through life waiting. Waiting to be chosen, noticed, approved of, for the good life to land in their lap. But when you believe in yourself, truly believe, you stop waiting and you start moving. You give yourself permission to go for it. That alone puts you ahead of the game.
And life is a game. When you start looking at it that way, things start to make more sense. Your perspective shifts. In the game of life, your mindset shapes your experience. If you believe you're capable, worthy, creative, powerful you start playing like it. Inevitably, the game and the players respond accordingly.
I’m not suggesting that self-belief means everything is going to be a walk in the park. It means you trust yourself to find a way, the way, to make things happen. That trust keeps you going when others give up. And those who get what they want, are the ones who refuse to stop.
Belief is a powerful magnet. If deep down you believe you're worthy of love, success, joy, freedom, achieving your dreams, you’ll make choices, take risks, and show up in ways that align with that belief. And before you know it, your reality starts to match. The process won’t necessarily happen overnight, life would become tedious if everything you wanted appeared in an instant, but it will happen, without doubt.
So yes, self-belief is enough.
It’s the seed. Everything you want, every goal, dream, or transformation starts from that one thing… the unshakable belief that you’re capable, worthy, and destined for more.
It isn’t something you’re born with or magically gifted. It’s something you build from within.
Where to start…
Listen to yourself. Your inner voice matters. If it’s always saying “you’re not enough,” that’s not your truth, it’s just old programming, and like any bad software, it can be updated. So update it!
Start by becoming aware of negative self-talk and as soon as you become aware of self-defeating thoughts, change the dialogue! Stop it in its tracks! Become super aware of what you’re thinking, how you talk to yourself and how you talk about yourself to other people.
Meditate, read inspirational books, stories, articles. Use self-hypnosis or work with a professional hypnotherapist. Get outdoors more. Exercise. Eat well. Spend your free time doing things that make you feel uplifted and motivated. Check your social groups both online and in person. Make sure the people you mix with aspire to greater things, that they are willing to share experiences, ideas even mistakes and check to see if you feel motivated and invigorated by them. If you find the people you socialise with, bring you down to where they gravitate… move on. Change it up. Be courageous. This is your life!
Switch off your phone after hours. Don’t’ get lost in a never-ending cycle of doom scrolling, what a dreadful waste of your precious time.
Be sure you fully engage in life and everything that’s around you, don’t be half-hearted about it. Remember that you are always being handed clues, ideas will flow, opportunities will present themselves, alignment will happen.
Nurture your newfound super improved self-belief as though your life depends on it, because the life you want… literally does.
Let’s get it!
